· Of all the discs, Monkey Island is closest in spirit to Ladies Invited, the group’s first, hesitant and ultimately rescinded attempt to define a post-blues style. The Geils album Tour was 1 of the best. Loved the fact that the band used female singers, and horns to really give this album/cd a great FULL Sound. Yes it is not J Geils Full House Live. It is a more full sounding band that IS NOT Afraid to move out of and Grow into Not just a party rock band. I was very proud of this group to graduate to this /5(56).
